The scientific journal "Economic and Social Problems of Russia" maintains the continuity of approaches of the collection of scientific papers (with the same name), which was published by INION RAN since 1998. The journal is published from 2020 with quarterly frequency and contains reviews, articles and reviews. The materials of the issues are presented within the traditional headings (world economy, international relations, problems of countries and regions, socio-demographic processes, financial system, management issues and scientific and technological progress) and thematic sections on topical socio-economic problems. The authors focus on issues of economic theory and socio-economic policy, directions and results of economic research.

The publication is intended for researchers, representatives of public authorities, university teachers, postgraduates and students.

All issues of the magazine are placed in open free access. The journal is registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technologies and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor). Registration number of PI No. FS 77-78664 dated July 10, 2020
